Description
This product utilizes NB-IoT communication technology and features a split design. The probe is fully enclosed, waterproof, and moisture-proof, making it compact and flexible for installation in narrow, enclosed, or otherwise harsh environments. The control host can be placed in an open area, facilitating user operation and benefiting signal transmission.
The product employs a low-power design scheme, powered by high-capacity lithium-thionyl chloride batteries, ensuring a long service life. In the event of an alarm, alerts can be sent directly to the management center platform and users’ mobile phones via the 5G network.
This electronic device product is widely used for detecting water leaks and overflow in locations such as basements, equipment rooms, hotels, kitchens, and bathrooms.

-
Automatically and intelligently starts the tamper switch normal operation mode.
-
Built-in NB card design. Prevents short circuits and poor connections caused by prolonged exposure of the NB card to dust and moisture.
-
Slide-latch installation method. Facilitates simple and convenient battery replacement and device debugging.
-
Split design. The probe is fully enclosed, waterproof, and moisture-proof, making it compact and flexible for installation in narrow, enclosed, or otherwise harsh environments. The control host can be placed in an open area, facilitating user operation and benefiting signal transmission.
-
Installation Methods: 3M adhesive tape or screw mounting.
Installation and Operation Instructions
1. Register the Product
Register the product IMEI on the cloud platform. Use the WeChat mini-program, APP, or the platform’s PC management terminal to scan the QR code or directly input the IMEI code to add the device to the cloud platform.
Different cloud platforms have different operation modes. This task can be completed by the manufacturer before shipment, centrally by the system integrator, or on-site during installation. Refer to the cloud platform operation guide.
2. On-site Installation and Testing of the Water Leak Detector
-
Open the back cover:
Press the back cover firmly with the door contact’s positive terminal and slide it downwards to misalign and open. -
Insert the NB card:
Press firmly on the metal clip on the NB card slot, then slide the clip open. Insert the NB card, then similarly press the metal clip firmly and slide it back. -
Power on:
Remove the insulating tab from the positive terminal of the battery. -
Product self-test process:
After power is applied, the product immediately enters a check state. At this time, the red light illuminates, indicating power is on. Then the green light stays on steadily as the product performs its internal self-test. -
If the product itself is normal and NB communication is also normal:
The product enters the NB signal strength display state. NB signal strength is divided into four levels.
-
Very poor signal: Yellow light flashes for 1 minute.
-
Average signal: Green light flashes twice consecutively, repeated 3 times.
-
Good signal: Green light flashes three times consecutively, repeated 3 times.
-
Excellent signal: Green light flashes four times consecutively, repeated 3 times.
During installation, try to find the location with the best NB signal for mounting. When the signal is poor, the product’s power consumption will increase significantly.
-
If the product self-test detects a problem:
The red light flashes continuously to indicate the fault:
-
1 flash: NB module fault.
-
2 flashes: NB card fault—check the NB card’s standard, activation status, or poor contact.
-
3 flashes: Failure to connect the NB signal to the operator’s base station, preventing internet access.
-
4 flashes: Communication failure between the NB signal and the operator’s service platform, usually due to identification issues.
-
Test the tamper switch:
Trigger the tamper switch; the red light flashes once, indicating the tamper switch is functioning normally. -
Test the water leak function:
Short-circuit the metal probe for 1 second or more using a finger, metal object, or water. The product’s red light flashes continuously. When sending an alarm signal, the green light flashes once. -
After testing:
Secure the back cover using screws or adhesive, align the inner edge of the door contact positive terminal’s bottom with the protruding alloy positioning post in the middle of the lower edge of the base shell, then place the front cover and slide it downwards to close the product. The water leak host unit is now installed successfully. Refer to the diagram. Then fix the water leak probe at the location where water leak detection is needed. -
After installing the product:
The tamper switch will automatically enter normal working mode (tamper switch closes for 1 second or more). If triggered, the red light will flash once to indicate an alarm trigger. The green light will flash once to indicate NB communication transmission. -
If NB communication fails or the connection to the platform is lost:
The red light will flash three times. -
When the battery is low:
The cloud platform will be notified of the low battery voltage, prompting battery replacement. Simultaneously, the door contact’s green light will flash three times, repeating once every hour.
Precautions
-
This product uses a low-power design. To restart, remove the battery for 1 minute or actively discharge the product before reapplying power. (Note: Quickly removing and reapplying power will not restart the product.)
-
When the signal is poor, the transmission power and transmission time of the NB-IoT signal will increase manyfold, drastically reducing battery life. Please exercise caution when using this product in areas with no signal or poor signal strength.
-
If the product will not be used for an extended period, please remove the battery.
-
Lithium batteries have a self-protection mechanism. If unused for a long time, they may need reactivation. Otherwise, the voltage may be low upon startup and require some usage time to return to normal.
-
Lithium batteries are high-performance batteries. Remember not to expose them to open flames or water, and avoid physical impacts, as there is a risk of explosion. Please do not operate improperly.
